Northwell Health set out to redefine what was possible for veteran care and innovation. Partnering with J. Walter Thompson, the team developed The Fin—a first-of-its-kind amphibious prosthetic that allows amputees to walk and swim naturally without changing limbs.

Justin Snow Films supported the creative process from concept through launch, filming, editing, and designing a short documentary that captured the team’s groundbreaking journey and the human impact behind it. The Fin went on to enter its second round of clinical trials, earned the front page of the New York Times Science & Technology section, was named one of Time Magazine’s Best Inventions of 2018, and became the centerpiece of a campaign spanning film, print, digital, and broadcast.

Created in collaboration with J. Walter Thompson (Agency), Brent Choi (Chief Creative Officer), Ben James (Executive Creative Direction), Karl Ackerman, Sean Ellman, and Itai Inselberg (Creative Direction), Bob Broadfoot and Rob Colucci (Creative), John Danbeck (Business Direction), Javier Bracero (Account Direction), Vincent Falcetano (Account Management), Marina Pen (Strategy), Anthony Nelson (Production), and Tom Mishra (Production & Direction).
